The Artist
About Kyndal
Kyndal Jennings is a South African fine artist whose work draws inspiration from the wildlife and landscapes of the Lowveld.
Working primarily in coloured pencil, her practice centres around close observation, layered mark-making, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Through detailed rendering and subtle shifts in colour and texture, she seeks to create works that feel both intimate and atmospheric.
Kyndal completed her Bachelor of Fine Art with Honours at Rhodes University, where her earlier practice explored themes of memory, materiality, and layered narratives. Elements of this sensitivity to texture and time continue to influence her contemporary wildlife work today.
Alongside her studio practice, she has worked extensively in art education, fostering creativity, visual literacy, and meaningful connection with the natural world.
