Original - Thunderbird (Ground Hornbill)

A striking study of the Southern Ground Hornbill, Thunderbird celebrates the presence and character of one of Africa’s most distinctive birds. Intricate coloured-pencil detail meets bold areas of colour and negative space, drawing attention to the hornbill’s expressive features and powerful silhouette.

Inspired by the wild landscapes of Southern Africa, this original artwork explores the contrast between stillness and strength — capturing a moment of quiet presence in a bird that feels anything but ordinary.
